Datapro Forecasts Robust UNIX Growth
A Datapro Information Services Group forecast indicates that UNIX
demand will grow by 8% by 2000. During the same period, Windows
demand will fall by 8%. The survey of 1,318 worldwide UNIX users
showed that various Sun UNIX systems are favored by 40% of the
respondents. HP/UX is used by 36%, Open Desktop/Open Server by
34%, AIX by 31%, and Digital UNIX by 18%. (Multiple responses
