Compaq TPC-C Results
Oct. 3, 1996 - Microsoft SQL Server is the first
database in the industry to set a TPC-C
price/performance record below $100/tpmC. The fully
audited results are $90.20/tpmC and 6671.67 tpmC,
which is also the highest performance ever achieved
on Intel-based servers. These record-setting results
were achieved by Microsoft SQL Server 6.5 and
Compaq's 4-processor Pentium Pro-based ProLiant
5000 6/200 server. Microsoft SQL Server now holds
seven of the top 10 price/performance results
Tak przy okazji:
July 22, 1996 - Microsoft Corp. and Digital
Equipment Corp. announced new performance and
price/performance records achieved with Microsoft
SQL Server 6.5 and Digital's award-winning Prioris
ZX, a new Pentium. Pro server. At 5,740 tpmC and
$116.93 per tpmC. (transactions per minute), these
TPC-C. results (Transaction Processing Council

scalability improvement over similar tests four months
ago.
