Cooperation in Science and Technology with Central and Eastern
                     European Countries

Organisers
Since 1985 six "MICROCOMPUTER School" workshops have been organised by
the Technical University of Wroclaw to promote the scientific exchange in
specific areas of computer engineering. This workshop is the last of three ones
to be organised with financial support from the CEC COST Programme.

Main topics
  CAD Tools and design methodology
  FPGAs design and applications
  ASICs in artificial neural networks
  Design of ASICs for image processing and computer vision
  ASICs in signal processing
  Testability of ASIC - based systems

Programme
The Workshop sessions will be led by invited scientists, who will present
extensive lectures on the topics of the field. Participants are also invited to submit individual papers on their research to be presented in English at the sessions.
All accepted papers as well as invited lectures will be published in the
Proceedings of the Workshop.

Time and Location
The workshop is planned for 9 - 13 October 1995 in a well-known mountain of
Southern Poland, BIESZCZADY. Accommodation will be provided in 2, 3 and
4 person rooms.

Participation
Participation will be by registration only and the number of participants will
be limited to a maximum of approximately 90 persons including about 10 invited
senior lecturers. For your registration please use the special form attached.
The workshop fee will be:

- 420 zloty (180 US$) paid by August 15th 1995
- 450 zloty (190 US$) paid by September 10th 1995
- 490 zloty (210 US$) paid in cash at the desk.
The registration fee covers the cost of accommodation and meals.

Scholarships for Young Scientist
Young researchers from Central and Eastern Europe presenting the most valuable
contributions to the Workshop will be granted a scholarship in the form of
exemption from the workshop fee. The scholarships will be granted by
competition based on the submitted papers. Please note that the scholarships
will not cover travel expenses.

Deadlines for the Authors
All the participants intending to present a paper should register by May,
10th 1995 and send a short abstract. Registration via e-mail or fax is strongly
recommended. Notification of acceptance with a guide for the authors will be
sent before June 1st. Full papers must be received before July 15th.

Language
English is the official language of the Workshop.
