FIRST ORDER FOR MICROWAVE SYSTEMS IN POLAND

Polish Telephones and Microwave Corporation announced today that its Polish
subsidiary DTS/ZWUT has received its first order in microwave transmission
equipment. This order for in excess of $150,000 was received from TELBANK.

DALLAS, Dec. 6 The Banking Telecom Company (BPT) "TELBANK" is a Polish
telecommunication operator that is established to provide telecommunication
services to the banking industry through a fully digital national network.
TELBANK expects to ultimately connect every member bank in Poland. Polish
Telephones and Microwave Corporation is optimistic that it may be a provider of
choice in helping create this major network in Poland.

The company had announced during its initial public offering (IPO) that it
intended to utilize a portion of the IPO funding to market microwave systems. A
company spokesperson expressed great pleasure with the early receipt of an order
from a very strategically important customer to launch this new business.

peripheral equipment, in Poland. The company is also licensed to market,
distribute, install and service microwave transmission products designed by
