Witam!
Być może o tym już gdzieś i kiedyś była mowa lecz nie mam czasu na
wertowanie całej listy od samego początku.
Mój problem polega na tym iż:
1. Od samego początku miałem w PC zainstalowanie 128 RAMu
2. Te 128 było w dwóch kościach po 64 Mb (100Mhz)
3. Mam płyte główną - Abit ZM-6 (z najnowszym BIOSem)
4. Dokupiłem sobie 128 RAMu w jesnej kości i ...
a:... po dołożeniu w trzeci slot PC sie nie uruchamia
b... po zainstalowaniu w pierwszy slot a reszte przesunełem o jeden -
komputer widzi 160 Mb
c... po zainstalowaniu tylko tej jednej kości wszystko jest OK
d... po zainstalowaniu nowej 128 w pierwszym slocie i jednej starej 64 w
drugim wszystko tez jest Ok widzi 192 Mb
e... każda osobno instalowana działa OK
I się właśnie zastanawiam co może być tego przyczyną?
W instrukcji od płyty jest napisane:
1. MAX 256Mb
2. w pierwszym slocie mozna instalować od 8 do 256
3. w drugim --------//-------------- j.w.
4. w trzecim -------//-------------- j.w.
Nie wiem dokładnie co to może oznaczać:
"DIMM 3 control signals are shared with DIMM2. Therefore, if you insert a
duble sides RAM module into both DIMM 2 and DIMM 3 at the same time, two
situations will occur. One is when you use a PC-100 RAM (with an SPD chip on
the RAM module) you will not be able to boot up the system. The other
situation is that if you use a RAM module without SPD, you will only be able
to get one RAM module memory size used on your system. Therefore, we
strongly suggest that you do not insert a duble sided RAM module in both
DIMM 2 and DIMM 3. You should only insert one doubled sided RAM modules into
both DIMM 2 and DIMM 3."
"According this motherboard layout design, DIMM 2 and DIMM 3 share two
banks. Therefore, please don't install RAM modules that will occupy two
banks into both DIMM2 and DIMM3 at the same time. There are two main types
of RAM modules on the market now, one is single sided and the other is duble
sides. The single sides RAM module doesn't mean it only occupies one bank,
and double sided RAM module also doesn't mean it will occupy two banks. When
you want to install RAM modules into both DIMM 2 and DIMM 3 at the same
time, please make sure how many banks of RAM the modules will occupy. For
this issue, you can refer to the specifications of your RAM module from the
manufacturer."
Z tego co się domyśliłem są jakieś zależności między DIMM2 i DIMM3.
Jeśli by nie było na to sposobu czy wymiana 2x 64Mb na 1x 128 Mb może pomóc
?
Wtedy było by w pierwszym slocie 128 i w drugim tez 128.
Prosze o pomoc.
