Ciekawym programikiem, szczegolnie dla niektorych posiadajacych nagrywarki,
moze tez byc:
http://www.procode.com.au/winsolo/index-1.html

A na tej stronie:
http://service1.symantec.com/SUPPORT/nunt.nsf/docid/19982694829
pisza cos takiego:
Norton System Doctor, CrashGuard, or Windows report
                    that system resources are low

                    Situation:
Norton System Doctor, CrashGuard, or Windows 95/98 often
report
that system resources are low, even though the computer has
more than
                    32 MB of RAM.

                    Solution:
Windows 95/98 utilizes a memory cache program called VCACHE
(short for virtual cache) which routinely consumes the
lion's share of any
available memory. If an application requests additional
memory,
VCACHE will surrender it. Overall system performance can be
improved by limiting the amount of memory VCACHE allocates
to
itself. You can accomplish this by changing the [VCACHE]
section in
                    System.ini.

To limit the size of the disk cache file:

                         1. Click Start, and then click Run. The Run dialog box
appears.
                         2. Type sysedit and then click OK.
                         3. Click the System.ini title bar to display the file.
                         4. Click the Search menu, and then click Find.
                         5. Type vcache and then click Next.
                         6. When you find the [vcache] section, add the
MinFileCache=
and MaxFileCache= lines to it, as shown below, (if
there is no
[vcache] section, create it). These settings limit the
size of the
disk cache file to between 5 and 8 MB. This should be
acceptable for nearly all systems, regardless of the
size of the
hard drive and the amount of RAM.

                         [vcache]
                         MinFileCache=5120
                         MaxFileCache=8192

                         7. Click the File menu, and then click Save.
                         8. Close the System Configuration Editor.
                         9. Restart the computer.
