U Seagate na WWW, w dziale Technical Support/.../FAQs jest dokładna procedura
konwersji partycji EZ-Drive na LBA - bez utraty danych. Przytaczam skrót:
1.Disable LBA in the BIOS for the large IDE drive.
2.Insert the EZ Drive diskette and type EZ and hit enter.
3.Select "Installation Options" from the main menu.
4.Select "Change Installed Features" from the next menu.
5.Enable the "Windows NT" mode. (dla EZ w wersji 5.00C)
Disable the "Floppy boot protection mode" (dla EZ w wersji 7.02C14)
6.Select "Save changes" and exit EZ Drive.
7.Reboot the computer and access the system BIOS. Enable the LBA mode.
8.Save the changes and reboot with a DOS bootable diskette in the A: drive.
9.Change to the C: drive (and D: if present). Make sure you can see and access
the data. If you can see the drive(s) then type FDISK/MBR and hit enter.
10.Remove the floppy from the A: and reboot. The drive(s) you selected to
convert should boot and be controlled by the BIOS' LBA mode.
