Can anyone help me to identify the following memory SIMMs (parity or
not, and the manufacturer if possible):
8 MB SIMM 72-pin 60 ns (36-bit ???)
SIMMboard is marked: PS12G4S4, REV A, AF 2144
It has chips on both sides: side A -9, side B -8!

The second SIMM is nearly identical to the first except the following
chips on the side B:

These SIMMs were sold to me as a PARITY memory but I am getting parity
errors with parity checking enabled in BIOS. Without parity checking
"enabled", everything is working fine.
Assuming that these are 32-bit SIMMs instead of 36-bit SIMMs as I
suspect, what the heck is that ninth chip in the middle (48 pin)????
Thank you in advance for any information to help me to identify the
manufacturer (and specify the parity or NOT) of the above memory SIMMs.
