CHICAGO, Dec. 20 /PRNewswire/ -- Ameritech International, Ameritech's
global business unit, today announced that it has sold its interest in the
Polish cellular joint venture PTK Centertel Sp. z.o.o. The two remaining
partners Telekomunikacja Polska SA (TPSA) and France Telecom Mobiles
International have purchased all Ameritech International shares.
The transaction will became effective today (December 20, 1996), following
fulfillment of all obligations of the buyers. With this transaction,
Ameritech International will cease to be a shareholder of Centertel, which
will have two remaining shareholders -- Telekomunikacja Polska SA and
France Telecom Mobiles International. Further details of the new
transaction shall remain confidential.
