The Browser Wars Between Microsoft and Netscape Continue...

Microsoft and Netscape are both putting the final touches on their next
releases of browser software for the World Wide
Web. Internet Explorer 3.0 will be released soon, and Netscape Navigator
3.0 is already in beta 5 release. No one expected
that Microsoft would come up with a good alternative to Netscape
Navigator, but many are starting to believe that that is
what IE 3 signifies. Netscape, realizing the danger they are in, already
has Netscape 4 in the works, and expect it to go into
beta this September, and be released by the end of the year. But
Microsoft isn't slowing down either. Internet Explorer 4.0
is currently in alpha release, and will also be out by the end of the
year. Many people see IE 4 as the browser that will deal
the final blow to Netscape. It will be integrated completely into
Windows, offering a truly live desktop.
