I am new to Internet and do not always know how things operate.
Nevertheless, I have wandered through some of this wonderland and
searched
for "Poland" and browsed through some of the headings...and here you are!
Whoever you are???
Please advise me. I am doing family history research on my husband's
family
and they came to the U.S.A. from Jarousla, Poland area. The surnames
that I
am dealing with are:
Minder--from Jarousla, Poland
Schneck--were in Jarousla and in Lebiechev, Austria
Most of this family settled in New York and New Jersey, but our
particular
line settled in Athens, Georgia in early 1900s after migrating from
Yonkers,
New York and New Jersey.
My husband's grandfather, Joseph Minder, came to the U.S. in about 1884
and
came to live with his sister, Pearl Minder Schneck in either New York or
New
Jersey.
I am interested in contacting a genealogical library or a family
researcher
in your area. If possible, I would like to extract Minder names from
telephone directories in Jarousla and in Lebiechev.
Can you put me in contact through Internet with anyone who might advise
me
or help me?
