co to jest to "active matrix"?

Przymierzam sie do kupienia monitora, bo stary juz dogorywa, a ze mam do
wydania zaledwie max.700 zl to szukam sobie po roznych gatewayach i temu
podobnych.
Trafilem w specyfikacjach na opis matrycy o nazwie TFT ACTIVE MATRIX i
chcialem sie dowiedziec coz to takiego.
Jedyne co znalazlem to nic nie znaczaca informacje tego typu:
