Okazuje się, że to będzie to optymalna kombinacja dla fanów AMD :)

doskonale sobie radzi, w wielu (ale nie wszystkich) testach wygrywając z
najszybszym zestawem Intela - P4 2.8Ghz + i850E (FSB=533, pamięci
RDRAM)
2- benchmarki chipsetu nForce2 z Athlonem 2800+ i 2200+ (FSB=333 i
FSB=266) w porównaniu z KT333 i KT400. nForce2 taktowany na 333/333
(procesor/pamięci) z wykorzystaniem podwójnego banku pamięci
zdecydowanie prowadzi.

The Athlon XP 2800+ and the nForce2 are a very powerful combination. If
you can get a hold of them together, you'll have a system that can take

AMD has paper launched its processors so far ahead-the 2700+ will be
available before the end of 2002, but the 2800+ won't arrive until the

Na pocieszenie krótka informacja o możliwościach OC nowego dziecka AMD -
są całkiem niezłe. Testy na
http://www.pcstats.com/articleview.cfm?articleid=1235 wykazały możliwość
stabilnej pracy procesora na FSB=185 (370).
Polecam również artykuł opisujący takie samo zestawienie (Athlon 2800+
oraz nForce2, porównanie obejmuje również KT333) w serwisie Ace's
Hardware http://www.aceshardware.com/read.jsp?id=50000304 . Oto
fragment podsumowania :
The nForce 2 shows that an aggressively optimized chipset can push the
performance of the Athlon XP up to 15% higher. That is enough to make
sure that the Athlon XP 2800+ is indeed competitive with the 2.8 GHz
Pentium 4. However, this is nothing more than a preview of the nForce 2.
The memory controller rocks, but it remains an open question if the
stable production boards will be as aggressively tuned as our rather
unstable prototype board. In our humble opinion, this launch comes a bit
too soon. [ . . . ] Nevertheless, this review also shows that the Athlon
platform can remain very competitive with the Pentium 4. AMD leaves a
lot of performance on the table with the small L2-cache and the mediocre
prefetcher. AMD may decide to pick this low-hanging fruit with future
Athlon revisions and or Hammer.
