Saving image files to local NTFS partitions:Because DOS cannot access
local NTFS partitions, Ghost cannot save image files to local NTFS
partitions.
Saving image files to remote NTFS partitions:Because DOS cannot access
remote NTFS partitions when using peer-to-peer connections such as an
LPT port or a peer-to-peer TCP/IP connection, Ghostpe.exe cannot save
image files to remote NTFS partitions. The consumer Ghost versions do
not support other types of networks such as client-server networks. For
instance, both Novell NetWare and Windows NT domains are client-server
networks.
Ghost corporate versions
The corporate Ghost versions can save image files to NTFS partitions
when using network connections that are not peer to peer.
The corporate versions include:
Symantec Ghost 7.5
Symantec Ghost 7.0
Symantec Ghost 6.5 Enterprise Edition
Norton Ghost 6.0 Enterprise Edition
Norton Ghost 6.0 Standard Edition
Norton Ghost 5.0 through Norton Ghost 5.1d
NOTE: Although Norton Ghost 2000 is version 5.1d, and Norton Ghost 2001
is version 6.5, these are consumer versions. They support peer-to-peer
network connections and do not support other types of network
