There is no _easy_ (or cheap!) way.
1) Laptop displays are digital, desktop VGA is analog.
2) You need a separate power supply for the display.
3) You'd need to clobber together a case/housing to hold everything.
4) You can buy LCD displays for desktops for less than $300!!!!
