problemy z dyskiem

Po podrozy z dyskiem do kumpla i z powrotem
przychodze do domu, podlaczam dysk, wlaczam komputer, dioda od dysku
mrugnela, na ekranie "veryfing dmi pool data" (czy jakos tak) i cisza.
Wchodze do biosu - bios wykrywa poprawnie seagate 6,4 GB.
Odpalam kompa z dyskietki.
fdisk - rozpoznaje 2 partycje fat - ok.
walnalem fdisk /mbr.
windows odpalil - ok.
Probuje odpalic linuxa z dyskietki (linux jest na oddzielnej partycji
ext3) - kernel panic.
Jakies bledy w partcji linuksowej.
Odpalam Partition Magic - Error: "Number of cylinder is too big for bios"
