przepraszam za zawracanie grupowiczom glowy:

"Product Type Model f/w version Program Program
.exe

DVD-ROM Desk-top DRD-8080B 1,04 dflga1b6.mot Pxfer2.exe
  Slim DRN-8080B 1,12 s2lg57aa.mot Pxfer2.exe
CD-RW Desk-top CED-8080B 1,06 e4lg6941.lge rwn.exe
           CED-8083B 1,06 e5lgebdf.lge rwn.exe

You must make a bootable cdrom disc that contains the config.sys and
autoexec.bat files, GCSDROM.SYS,MSCDEX.EXE and the executable file
pxfer2.exe and dflga1b6.mot on it.

There is an excel spreadsheet that is included in the .zip file
you will download that will indicate to what ROM version the upgrade
will bring the drive to, what exe file is needed and what .mot file
is needed. There are 2 exe's and 2.mot's and 2.lge's. The lge's are
for the CD-RW drives, the .mots are for the DVD. Once the bootable
disk is made, reboot the PC with the DVD drive hooked up on the
secondary master channel and once the drive is detected and you are at
the A:> prompt type in pxfer2 dflga1b6.mot

The firmware upgrading will begin and you will be notified when it is
finished.

The firmware sent for f/w upgrade is for Shrink Micom Sets (flashable)
So when you download f/w, you must be careful about which f/w version
you have.

     CD-RW : shrink micom set--> from version 1.05
     DRD-ROM : shrink set--> from version 1.04

The rest of the f/w version are non-shrink micom type. "
