The K6 bug does not affect windows 95. The bug is apparent only when using a compiler that does self
modification, and this self modification during certain compiles. 19 out of 20 or so compiles are good,
and even the failed compiles are caught but checksum compares performed by the compiler. So this bug is
"caught" each and every time it causes this problem. This only happens under Linux or Next Step that use
the GCC Compiler. It can be reproduced under other platforms by using the GCC compiler, but other
platforms are not the domain of the GCC compiler. Experienced Linux users have put up with far more
significant problems over the years, so even for the most popular platform that is affected by this bug, the
problem is just not all that significant.
