Ty nie musisz tego sprawdzac bo to powinien zrobic producent
komputera, on daje gwarancje a nie MS$. OSR2 nigdy nie jest
sprzedawany solo, powinien byc wylacznie preinstalowany u producenta
komputerow. Sprzedawanie tego np. z samym dyskiem lub plyta glowna
nie jest chyba do konca legalne, ze juz o sprzedawaniu solo nie
wspomne. To jest powod dla, ktorego M$ nie podaje takich zalecen. Bo
on nie odpowiada za to na czym producent to zainstaluje. Byc moze
zreszta, ze o to w tym wszystkim chodzilo.
Zaraz jak sie OSR2 pojawil to sledzilem dyskusje na newsach M$
microsoft.public.windows95 , tam jest troche podgrup. I bylo sporo
glosow ludzi, ktorzy probowali instalowac OSR2 na swoich wlasnych
komputerach i mieli problemy. Z tego co pamietam to byly
sygnalizowane glownie problemy ze starymi kartami graficznymi, z Bus
Masteringiem na plytach glownych i z laptopami. Co ciekawe wiekszosc
z nich miala wczesniej Win95 release i twierdzili, ze im dzialalo.
Ile z tych problemow wynikalo z braku umiejetnosci tych ludzi i
bledow przy instalacji to nie wiem.

informacji na temat instalacji OSR2 (m.in. jak zrobic upgrade z Win
95 i Win 3.xx).

Microsoft really isn't sure that the enhancements in OSR2 (especially
FAT32) will work on every system in existence. So, they released it
only to OEMs, so that the OEMs have to do the work of figuring out if
it works on the systems they sell (especially since the OEM has to
supply tech support for OSR2, not Microsoft). Also, in this way, OSR2
only appears on new systems, thus eliminating having to deal with
upgrading & legacy problems. Microsoft hopes to identify problems
with new elements in OSR2 in this way, while simultaneously
developing "Memphis," the next retail version of Windows, which
presumably will include FAT32 and a means to easily upgrade from
older versions of Windows & FAT16.

However, this process depends on how well the particular driver
identifies itself as "newer" than the default OSR2 driver, either by
.dll date or version. If the driver does not self-document itself
well to OSR2, it may be replaced, and you may need to reinstall the
newer 3rd party driver.
