56K Uptrade plan
All internal and external 14,400 bps, 28,800 bps and 33,600 bps V.34
Zoltrix faxmodems purchased through United States retailers after January
1, 1996 are upgradeable to 56,000 bps data speeds using Rockwell K56flexTM
technology. The uptrade plan ends October 1, 1997. Since this upgrade
actually consists of trading your old modem with a new 56K Fax/Data/Voice
with Speaker Phone Modem, the upgrade is referred to as an uptrade.
The 56K Fax/Data/Voice with Speaker Phone Modem will only be available as
an Internal model. Therefore, if you currently have an External model, it
will be uptraded to an Internal model.
Zoltrix will release a External model in the 3rd Quarter or 1997. Another
uptrade plan will be announced before the External model is released.
To uptrade your Zoltrix faxmodem, you will need to send it to Zoltrix. A
new replacement 56K Fax/Data/Voice with Speaker Phone Modem will be sent to
you for each uptrade ordered. You must submit your original sales receipt
or a photocopy by postal mail with your order to qualify for the uptrade
plan. If possible, keep your Zoltrix Fax/Modem packaging. Use the Order
Form to order the uptrade. Please keep checking here for information on
when to send the order form.
An Advance Replacement Plan is also available. Under the Advance
Replacement plan, Zoltrix will send you a new 56K Fax/Data/Voice with
Speaker Phone Modem in advance of receiving your old modem. The Zoltrix's
56K Advance Replacement plan requires a deposit above the Standard 56K
Uptrade Plan's cost. You then have 30 days to return the old modem to
receive a refund check for the amount of the deposit. Zoltrix must receive
your old modem within 30 days of the Invoice date to receive a refund
check. If we do not receive the old unit within 30 days, we will assume
that you wanted to keep the old modem.
The standard 56K modem uptrade cost varies depending upon what model you
are uptrading, ranging from $59.00 to $99.00, check the Order Form for the
cost to uptrade your model.
Zoltrix should begin shipping the 56K Fax/Data/Voice with Speaker Phone
Modem in June 1997.
All orders for uptrades must be received by Zoltrix by October 1, 1997.
