> The project is set in the international research environment of the
> "Parallel, Emergent & Distributed Architectures" (PEDAL) group at the
> School of Systems Engineering and the "Advanced Computing and Emerging
> Technologies" (ACET) Centre. The ACET Centre is leading the Computational
> Science Cross Cutting research at the University of Reading. The excellent
> computing infrastructure includes an IBM Blade Centre with 3040 processing
> elements, which is ranked 51st in the November 2007 top500 list of the
> most powerful supercomputers.

> Applicant's Profile
> Applicants should have completed a degree in Computer Science or a
> strongly related discipline. Experience in any field related to the
> project, such as data mining, machine learning, parallel and distributed
> computing, bioinformatics and chemoinformatics, are preferable but not
> necessary.

> Funding
> This studentship covers both academic fees (Ł3240 for UK and EU students)
> and subsistence (Ł12600) for a total of Ł15840 per annum for three years.
> Academic fees for overseas students (Ł10800 per annum) are not covered.
