A Novel Way to Measure Surface Pressure Distribution

Do you need to measure surface contact pressure distribution?

You might be interested in our pressure indicating sensor film that reveals pressure distribution and magnitude between any two contacting or impacting surfaces. This thin plastic film is placed at the actual contact surface and instantaneously and permanently captures the pressure profile, by virtue of a color change. Similar in philosophy to Litmus paper, the color this film turns is directly proportional to the amount of force applied.

Pressure indicating sensor film is an ideal tool to aid in QC/QA in both your manufacturing processes as well as R&D endeavors.

Some applications where the film is useful include:

            . Bolted or gasketed interfaces
            . Composite layup
            . Heat sealing processes
            . Heat sinks
            . Lamination processes
