SUNDAY 23 MAY 2004
A Welcome Reception from 18.30hrs to 20.00hrs will be held in the Castle Suite with Whisky Tasting, Canapés and a free bar. Attendance at this event is free to Conference Delegates.
MONDAY 24 MAY 2004
Morning Session A Review of the Market for Investment Castings. An overview of the World Market for Investment Castings will be presented by Ron Williams of the UK with further papers giving a detailed analysis of the Asian, European and American markets by experts from these areas.
A supplier Exhibition will run alongside the conference with the period between 11am to 3pm put aside exclusively to visit the show.
Afternoon Session Presentations will be made by designers and users and potential users of Investment Castings who will indicate the quality and cost constraints necessary to meet their requirements.
An opportunity will then be available to visit the supplier exhibition.
The evening has been kept free for delegates to make their own arrangements for dinner.
TUESDAY 25 MAY 2004
Morning Session This will be dedicated to practical applications in investment foundries of techniques that can be used to improve the competitive edge of our foundries. It will feature the cost savings that can accrue by the introduction of such techniques
Afternoon Session New applications of materials and equipment that will improve the competitiveness of your company will be featured.
CONFERENCE DINNER
A Five Course Conference Dinner will be held in the evening which will feature the best of Traditional Scottish cuisine, including the evocative Piping in of the Haggis and be completed by traditional Scottish dancing featuring a Ceildh Band and dancers.
Black tie or traditional Scottish dress is preferred.
Kilt & Sash hire is available from the hotel if desired.
WEDNESDAY 26 MAY 2004
Morning Session Presentations on the research being undertaken on the investment casting process will be made together with a review of the existing and latest rapid prototyping technology available.
The conference is due to end at lunchtime on this day giving delegates ample time to meet their travel arrangements.
CONFERENCE INFORMATION
The Conference fee includes attendance at the Sunday 23 Reception, all coffee and tea breaks and lunches on Monday 24 and Tuesday 25 May.
All delegates will be provided with a CD containing the Power Point presentations made, together with a folder containing synopses of the papers presented and details of all timetables and delegate lists.

There will be a City tour, visiting the medieval, Georgian new town and Edinburgh Castle in the morning. Lunch will be taken in Leith at one of the popular fish restaurants prior to visiting the Royal Yacht Britannia. There will also be an opportunity to visit Kinnloch Anderson, Scotlands premier supplier of tartans and tweed.

After crossing the Forth Road Bridge, traveling through typical Scottish fishing villages with a short stop in Crail, the morning will be spent visiting St Andrews, site of Scotlands oldest University founded in 1410. Lunch will be served at Craigsanquar House. After lunch Falkland Palace and Gardens, the favourite residence of JamesV and his daughter Mary, Queen of Scots will be visited. Return to Edinburgh by 16.30hrs
Refreshments and lunch are included, as are the services of a guide for both trips.
