Opportunity for a Graduate Engineer (Plymouth)

A graduate engineer is required to work with a state of the art
manufacturing company who specialise in the production of safety
systems and equipment for the transport industry. The successful
applicant will be expected to:

¨ Establish the feasibility of using flexible composites in new products.
¨ Design and develop new products using light-weight flexible
   structures and oversee the manufacture and testing of prototype
   products
¨ Review the design of a new generation of a core product
   and develop a new automated manufacturing process.
¨ Review, introduce and implement new modern mechanical design
   procedures and methodologies for the company.

You will need a BEng Mechanical, Materials, Manufacturing or
Industrial Engineering. Experience in CAD/CAM design and some
experience in use of composite materials will be an advantage. A
self-motivated individual able to work with minimum supervision and
to communicate at all levels within a small company is required.
Candidates should have well-developed oral communication,
presentation and negotiation skills with good written communication
and reporting skills.
