Most of the sand here is yellow. However, I heard that there are some places on the Baltic coast where you can find
some heavy metal minerals, like black ilmenite (FeTiO3) sands (up to 60% of ilmenite in the sand). It is mainly near
Jastarnia, Wladyslawowo, and Darlowo. Also in Sudety mountains are ilmenite sands in Izera river, and near
Zlotoryja (there is also some gold in the sand in that region). Sometimes you can also find in ilmenite sands some
minerals used in jewerly (gemstones). There are probably also a few places in Poland where sand is completely
white, and red.
