Thanks to Peter Lazenby for passing this on from the OS/2 UK mail list.
I was just commenting in my March editorial about the need for Netscape
plugins like RealPlayer and Flash. Well now there is a beta of Macromedia
Flash for OS/2 Warp. It times out on Apr, 30th, 2000 and hopefully there
will be a new release prior to that.
Please download it from:
http://www.innotek.de/flash/flash2_download0_e.php3
and as stated in the original post "please, don't download it and give it
to anyone, distribute the URL instead. Because we don't want another
'staroffice' incident to happen!" Let's do this right and demonstrate
that there is a market for OS/2 products.
As a note from the Innotek site "The OS/2 version of the Flash 4 plugin is
not supported by Macromdia Inc. For support, send emails to
flash_at_innotek.de (no response guaranteed) or rather use the helpdesk forum
at www.os2.org. Make sure that you regularly check the Flash homepage at
www.innotek.de/flash, read the FAQ and watch out for new releases."
