Subject: Watcom C++ Sentenced to Death

Sybase recently announced that Watcom C++ as well as several other
products in their line have been put to rest. They will continue to
sell Watcom C++ until August 31st, so if you want a copy you better get
going. If you haven't already, I strongly recommend you upgrade to
11.0b, the latest release, which is available for the cost of shipping
to registered users. Support will be available until June 30, 2000.
Unofficially, parts of Watcom's userbase are working to have Powersoft
release the software's source in some form so it can continue to be
maintained and developed. If you are a Watcom C++ user and want to help
resurrect it, please email the details of your use as well as the number
of licenses you have to sjhowe_at_dial.pipex.com with the subject line
"Sybase Response". Stephen Howe is a member of Team Sybase and will
forward all responses to Sybase.
