Systems administrators must provide users, who have different needs and/or are
subject to different security policies, with a differentiated working environment and
access permissions
set to the system resources. SecureEntry/2 makes this possible.

SecureEntry/2 enhances any standalone or network configured OS/2 workstation by
providing an extensive set of security and personalization functions that allow the
workstations to be
configured for the individual users needs.

With SecureEntry/2, the system administrator can define the users and groups of users
that are allowed to use the workstations. The system administrator can then easily set
up the
users' working environments so that the workstations are dynamicaly configured at
signon time for the users' work and security rules are enforced to grant access only to
the features and
 functions they require.

 SecureEntry/2 effectively converts a single-user machine into a workgroup machine--a
serially shared, multiple-user machine. From the user's prespective, all that changes
from the
normal way of working is that an identification is required before starting a work session.
SecureEntry/2 activates the security profiles to set up the user's work environment.

SecureEntry/2 is designed so that security components can easily be plugged in. A
new security component for a given software or hardware piece can be easily written
and incorporated
 into the architecture.
