Hi,

Stare chłopy, a jeszcze się dziwią. Jak młode wojsko, co to zawsze
zdziwione. .-)

Is MS crazy? Look at Brian Livingstone's column in the July 13
Infoweek. The title says it all "Beware apps bearing DLLs: Windows 98
disables Microsoft competitors' software". Apparently the setup routine
intentionally replaces dlls used by competitors with new versions that
no longer work. They provide a tool to reinstall the old ones only they
neglect to either tell you that they did the replacement nor that the
tool exists. The rationale is that they "wanted to have a known
baseline operating system." Given that they are being sued for
anti-trust, are they absolutely out of their minds or is this the most
incredible case of hubris since ancient times?
