Subject: PhD studentship

A PhD studentship is available at Department of Materials Engineering,
Brunel University, starting from October 1998 for three years. The
succesful candidate is going to join a existing research group to study the
degradation of metal-ceramic systems at high temperature using both
electrical techniques and electron microscopy. During the progress of the
project, Rolls-Royce and GEC-Alsthom will be involved in developing the
research into applications.
